From start to finish, we had an excellent stay at Ms. Ruby's B&B. I truly cannot describe what a blessing her listing was to us. We made the mistake of camping at the state park on one of the hottest, most humid days of the year so far, and it was absolutely miserable. I was desperate to get us into any sort of bed, but all the park cabins were booked. I messaged Ms. Ruby around 3AM to ask about her listing, and she responded shortly after, at a much more reasonable hour. I am so thankful that she did. We weren't sure about our check-in timing, and she was incredibly accommodating. The house is gorgeous, the room was immaculate and decadent, and Ms. Ruby took better care of us than my own mother (which is saying A LOT) during our stay. She had wine and snacks ready for us upon arrival, and a delicious brunch before we left. The 1000 character limit for this review is really hindering my ability to adequately describe what a lifesaver Ms. Ruby was, I could go on and on. We'll be back!!!

Ruby is a gracious, lovely hostess who delighted in making my stay warm, elegant, and delicious! I was delightfully surprised the moment I stepped into her home. Ruby has given personal, creative attention to every quality detail of her New Orleans' themed home. You are not just renting a room. She has provided spaces for gathering, relaxing, reading, playing games, watching TV together-all inside. Then, there are lush beautiful areas outside... green lawns, patios, fire pit, swings, seating areas, and a river with a dock! I came for a local family reunion. Ruby welcomed 8 of mu family for a Sunday brunch with just a two hour advance request. It was delicious. Mu family loved her, her home, her cooking, and her hospitality. I feel like I made a new friend in Ruby. Thank you, Ruby, for enriching our family reunion. I look forward to returning.

NOLA Rendezvous, Yall let me tell yall about this place. This is a home away from home. The sweetest woman, she treats you like family. She makes the best breakfast, the most amazing red beans and rice. We stayed in the Frenchman room. It is so beautiful, so comfortable . The grounds are so beautiful. I only have pictures of it covered in snow. That made our stay so romantic. If you're looking for a bnb that's not a drive away, right in your backyard, please go see Nola! You will enjoy every minute of it there.

Ruby's place provided us a safe and comfortable place to stay. We had to arrive late and she kept the lights on for us. We were just sorry we could not stay for breakfast! It smelled wonderful. The innkeeper even offered to pack it up for us to go. So kind. Thank you guys so much!

Ruby's place is spacious and beautiful. Our room had a lovely balcony looking out to the peaceful pond and backyard. Ruby made a fantastic Sunday brunch for us, the best homemade beans ever. Ruby is a fantastic host and so fun to chat with. Great place to relax and connect with nature... we love the large porches and courtyard for morning coffee and evening visits. I highly recommend Ruby's place. the house is in a great location near some amazing restaurants and historic sites.

We can't express how VERY MUCH we enjoyed our stay at Ruby's wonderful place! She's very thorough with directions, check-in instructions, and ease of entry into the house and into your room. So helpful! She's the consummate host: a grand tour upon arrival, assuring us that her home was our home. The Frenchmen Room upstairs was perfect! Large closet to tuck everything away, super cozy bed and bedding, large bathroom with great shower, TV w/all the choices. We had an upstairs living area to spread out, including a small fridge. We enjoyed wine on our private balcony. So peaceful. Great breakfasts...especially those farm fresh eggs! We fell in love with the gorgeous setting...a beautiful home situated on both a pond and on a small bayou. We wandered around the property, visited the chickens, sat under the fabulous old oak trees. We even brought my elderly parents over for a visit…..they loved it! We enjoyed our chats with Ruby...so impressed with all she's done there. Highly recommend!!

I stayed Saturday night, and Sunday there's a late checkout with brunch. It's the best red beans l've had. She's extremely polite and personable. Very responsive and a great person. I'd recommend if you ever need a place to stay in the area to go here!!

Peaceful and beautiful getaway with a wonderful hostess. The layout of the facility and building allow for the guest to have as much or little contact with others as they choose. Likewise the hostess - who was absolutely wonderful - will join in conversation as much or as little attention as you wish. She pays attention and does all those little things that make your stay so pleasant. I will definitely be coming back.

We both had a superb stay & Ruby was an excellent host. The breakfast was plentiful & delicious. There was a welcome drink & snacks available on arrival & a separate landing lounge to watch a film if we wanted. Thank you Ruby - we'd recommend your lovely home to all!

Ruby was a very hospitable host! The home is just so lovely and very conducive to a private space and communal areas. Unfortunately it poured rain the whole weekend so we couldn't enjoy the balcony, beautiful courtyard, sweet bistro tables and large back deck with huge fire pit &. Hoping to return again next year! It would be an awesome place for a family get together as each room has a separate bathroom and great communal areas. Bed was comfortable and loved the linens. All in all, a wonderful Air B and B.

Ruby was very friendly and we engaged in lots of conversation during breakfast. She tailored breakfast to meet my requirements and prepared delicious scrambled eggs fresh from the chickens out back! Beautiful place, nice conversations and a comfortable bed! Thanks Ruby!
